"The effects of your habits multiply as you repeat them, just as the way money multiplies through compound interest".

I wanted to share my #thoughts and #insights upon reading a few wonderful statements, one of which goes like this: Recently, I started reading a popular bestseller, "Atomic Habits," which describes the way #habits influence a person, either good or bad, and how someone can achieve #success through tiny little repeated steps or actions. Note: I'm not interested in e-books and Kindle books and I want to dodge off my screen time.📵 So I want to ask the avid #bookreading community and #booklovers, how do you manage getting books to read in a regular fashion, yet cheap and efficient way? Wanted to know your #thoughts in the comments section! This is becoming a #barrier to me, and I guess many others, in initiating our regular book reading habit. Nowadays, #books are something which we have to spend a penny from our pockets, as opposed to the entertainment we get from electronic gadgets requiring no money and effort to invest in. I always share this story with my close ones and today I felt writing this to my #LinkedIn community with one particular thought in my mind: Children gradually started missing out on their childhood, which the earlier generations loved to relive.Ĭonnecting that story to the present day, I always notice that we, the young generation, got addicted to mobile phones📱 to a certain level, that we lost interest in books, academics and #exploring new stuff rather finding the screen time much fascinating due to the instant gratification they provide. Earlier, children used to read a lot of books📚 and enjoyed imagining beautiful stories just by reading words in the book.īut after the television came, children began to watch the so-called 'Idiot Box', as described by the author, for hours long that they started to lose the skill of imagining new things.

The essence of that writing is that children are losing their naturally acquired logical and #creative #thinking after being addicted to television. A few years ago, I came across an excerpt from my English textbook by the name, "The Television".📺
